Unforgettable Moments at Glastonbury: A Climate Action Journey

What an incredible week it has been! As I take a moment to settle back into everyday life, I find myself cherishing the memories of my unforgettable experience at Glastonbury. At the age of 22, I had the honor of working on a remarkable climate action project alongside passionate and talented individuals. Led by the visionary Alice @d_u_s_t_a, we collaborated with joint charities @wateraid, @oxfam, and @greenpeaceuk to create a symbolic flag, bearing the climate demands and wishes of participants. Our aim was to exhibit this powerful flag, and after a spirited climate procession through the festival, it was unveiled at the park stage, marking a moment of collective action. The journey of the flag continues as it now makes its way to KOP 27 in Egypt, leaving a lasting impact on our fight against climate change

I cannot express enough how privileged I felt to be a part of this initiative and to engage in conversations with numerous individuals who are deeply passionate about climate issues. Special thanks to Alice @d_u_s_t_a for granting me this opportunity and for introducing me to the wonderful team, including @brokensharkcage, @sophiehawkinsco, @lucy_haugh, @kathykellypuppets, Matt, @smorbey123, and Alex. Together, we formed a powerful and united force, and I look forward to collaborating with these incredible souls once again.

Glastonbury 2022 was a life-changing event for me. Being a part of this climate action project not only allowed me to make a positive impact but also provided me with a newfound sense of purpose. I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to Oxfam for providing us with accommodation, and most importantly, to Alice @d_u_s_t_a for making this unforgettable journey possible.

As we carry the flag's message to KOP 27, I am filled with hope and determination that our collective efforts will inspire meaningful change. Let us continue our fight against climate change and build a better world for generations to come.
